Do you wanna do Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) differently from the traditional, politically correct events? Then you need to check out “Politique,” pop-up shops mashed with fashion designers, a beauty suite, politiquing, music and cool people. The opening party is on Thursday, 9.16.10, 4 – 9pm at Cre8 Space, Studio Gallery, downtown Washington, DC, across from the DC Convention Center, but for three days you can ”Politique.”
Kristi Love, founder of “Politique” developed it to include and showcase independent designers and entrepreneurs through the “pop-up” tradition established by her mother over 25 years ago at CBC, as well as to honor the legacy of high fashion at Black Caucus.
“It’s about re-engaging those disinterested in {traditional} Caucus. It’s about reconnecting independent Black designers to Caucus, because there’s no longer a fashion show. And it’s about promoting great talent in general.” Kristi Love (Founder/Producer of “Politque”)
“Politique” will feature Pop-Up Shops from unique and funky clothing, jewelry and accessory designers, entrepreneurs and an intimate beauty suite providing make-up, and spa services. Also, some of D.C.’s hottest DJs including DJ Cam Jus and DJ Saucee, serving fresh beats daily for guests shopping pleasure.
Forget the politics, Shine Brightly with “Politique” this weekend in honor of Congressional Black Caucus.
