Last night marked the official end of Summer and the beginning of Fall. (11:09 EST) The highlight, super harvest moon at sunset. For the first time in two decades, as the Sun set, the first full Moon rose at the exact opposite to the day summer ends, creating a 360twilight show of the moon. The bonus, Jupiter shining next to it. Astrology followers, get ready for new energy.
Fall, more reminiscent of the New Year to me, more so than January 1st is a launch pad. Fall jump starts the return to school, Fall fashion, dressing warmer, night falls earlier, cider sipping, pumpkin popping, cuddle worthy evenings with more in-door activities.
This Fall is my first DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia/DC Metro Area) season living here in 10 years, having returned from the NYC Metro area recently. (BTW, they didnt call it the DMV when I lived here 10 years ago. New fancy branding )
